LO-to apply the theoretical framework to media texts
.Media language all the different elements used to construct any media product .This covers terms used how texts are constructed and the messages conveyed, it incudes camera work , soundtrack ,mise-en-scene ,editing,
Establishing shot it is usually the shot at the start of a scene because it tells us where it is or what time it is taking place .
Wide shot :to shows how much space is around the subject.
Mid shot: where the shot is just above the waist and shows them in a certain place :
Medium close up: chest up and gets rid of distraction and focuses on the character.
Close up: it focuses on there face to see their emotions and facial expression.
Extreme close up shot: focuses on mainly one part of the body like just the eye etc..
Soundtrack :Includes all sound heard in a flim/tv show
.music
.sound effects
.dialouge
.voiceover
CAN BE DIEGETIC or NON DIEGETIC
Diegetic sound- sounds you would hear if you were there in the scene
Non diegetic- sounds you would not be able to hear if you were in the scene

Mise-en-sen includes everything that can be seen in frame e.g props, costumes, background ,makeup, lighting, facial expression and actor positioning
.their facial expressions are all quite serious and scared which shows that something scary or bad has or is about to happen.
.the costumes look quite old fashioned so it probably means it was based in the 90/80s.
.theres a girl with a shaved head in a hospital gown which suggests that she has been in some sort of hospital recently and maybe escaped?
The MES in this scene shows a man in the centre of the screen this connotes that he is probably the main character.
The man is wearing old fashioned clothes with an old fashioned hat this connotes that its set in the past.
He also looks like he's in a rush by the way he's walking and he's holding a brown leather bag this connotes that he's probably needing to get somewhere important quick .
Editing
.transitions
.pace and speed of cuts
.CGI
.Green screening
.Graphics
.standard shot / straight cut-end of one scene start of another
.jump cut -cuts bits out makes it look like its jumping through time
.parallel editing -cut between two different things happening at the same time
cutaway-informing the viewer where you are in the scene to show you more about where the character is.
.montage-different clips from different scenes to show process over time
.matchcut- matching a characters actions into the next scene
