LO:to analyse a media text using Media Language 

shot type:medium long shot- its showing us the gun in his hand and that hes wearing gloves.It lets us focus on the key things that the creator wants us to see like his facial expressions and his clothes.They used a mid shot instead of a long shot because you can see more detail when its close up but its not that close up that you cant see the important pieces.

the clothing suggests that he is going to do something important and active beacuse the clothing is very plain and bland which suggests he probably going to do something serious.

the props show that something serious is about to happen as he is holding a gun which probably means someone is gonna get hurt.

the facial expressions are quite serious and he looks quite angry so he might be going to fight?

the background is quite plain and there is very little colour which means they want you to focus on the character more that the background.

explosions- they kept it in to over exadurate it and make it sound dramatic.

gunshots-are kept in to make it more dramatic and sound more interesting and shows there gonna be alot of action.

car tires screeching-kept in to show how fast the car was going.

the fade to black transition is used because it creates more suspense and is used between scenes to show time passing.

the fast cuts are use to make it look more dramatic and as its an action movie creates more suspence for the actual movie.

in the tenet trailer they used fast tense music.They used this because it would build up suspence and make the viewer seem interested so they would go watch the film.It also shows that it is going to be an action movie and the music shows that by the speed and how high and repetitive.

In the dune trailer,camerawork is used to efficently show close ups and small details.For example when a different scene started it would be a close up to show little details that are important.This creates the impression of a close up effect that we can see every detail they do not want us to miss and will play an important part  of the movie.The close up can help to show the actors facial expressions in that scene and can also show key props like a weapon or the way the character is feeling.It also uses a few mid shots to show surroundings within the movie and sow the characters clothing and other important things etc.

in the dune trailer,editing used to efficiently show black out transitions to show different scenes from the film.For example when they wanted to show different places they would use it to emphasise it and show all the good pieces of the film to make the viewer more interested to watch the film.It also shows the different scenes within the film and where they are based to give the impression of what type of movie they are going to see.

DIRT

The inhabitant

camerawork-there was a range of camera angles to show everything that is important and everything that plays a big part in the actual film itself.There is a lot of close ups in the trailer to show the actors expressions and to show the axe and other weapons.There is a few mid shots aswell to show the viewer where and what the character is doing.

Mise-en-scene- The props in the trailer are mostly weapons like axes and wooden whips? They zoom in on these quite alot to show that they are probably going to be quite important in the actual movie.The costumes are quite old fashioned which tells me the film is based a couple decades ago,they look a bit like soemthing a maid would wear in the victorian era.The main characters clothes however look quite modern like somthing people would wear toady so i cant really tell when this was based.

soundtrack-at the start there is some creepy sort of music in the background which they have overlapped with their voices and some dramatic sounds effectives.They also put some whispering voices further in.As it gets towards the end they put fast tense repetetive music to make it sound                                                                          for dramatic and to get the viewer wanting to watch the film.
