  10/10/22 Movie poster analysis  The shot of camera they chose to use was a wide shot . I think they chose this so you can see everything surrounding them . You can also see that Aladdin is holding the lamp etc. Aladdin’s clothing looks quite old and basic which shows me that he might be poor. Jasmine clothing looks very expensive and elegant which shows she’s important and rich . There are lots of gold props in this cover which show me that it’s probably treasure of some sort ? The background shows a few different scenes from the movie to show maybe what it’s based on . It has a lot going on and so is quite interesting for the viewer. The facial expressions are quite serious apart from genie who looks happy and so that suggests to me that maybe he’s a funny person? The font choice looks almost Arabic sort of so I’m guessing is based somewhere in Egypt sand probally definitely in older times . Magazine front covers

  Tuesday 20th June 2023 LO-to identify the features on a magazine front cover;to explore genre codes & conventions. Do Now   I went for fashion genre.They all use similar layout and fonts.The colour pallete vary's between nude colours and bright.The main image is always a model normally mid shot or close up.The mastheads are normally written in the same font throughout the magazines. Sub-Genre -pop,country,rap,rock,heavy metal,opera,electronic,DnB,techno Pop magazine covers- the covers all have big music artists over as the main image.The colour pallet has a mix of bright and dark colours within.The main cover lines are all the artists name. Hobby-Equine They all sort of use quite neutral colour pallets with a pop of colour in some.There main images mostly show the rider on the horse.They use capital letters and quite a basic font.
